Dress Code 

At Sunset Hills Country Club, we strive to maintain a casual and comfortable atmosphere for our members and their guests, however it is expected that all dress in a manner reflective of the club setting.  Members are responsible for informing their families (including children and teens) and guests of our dress requirements and ensure their compliance prior to their arrival at the club.  Our staff has been directed to uphold and enforce our dress code to allow for an enjoyable club experience for all but know failure to comply will result in being asked to leave the premises until adherence the dress code is met.
 
Please note that special events held in any area of the club may result in changes to the dress code at Management’s discretion.  Any such changes will be relayed with appropriate advanced notice.
 
With respect for the game of golf and the general standards of our country club setting, Sunset Hills has adopted the following Dress Code:

Men

  • Slacks or Bermuda-length golf shorts are allowed?
  • Golf shirts with collars and sleeves (including turtlenecks, blade or mock-collared shirts) are allowed
  • Shirts are required in all areas of the club except for the Pool Area
  • Dress denim jeans in good condition are allowed in the non-golf course areas of the club
  • Denim is not allowed on the golf course or practice facilities between March and November
  • Hats are not permitted in any upstairs areas of the clubhouse
  • Gym shorts, exercise shirts, tee shirts, sweatshirts or athletic pants are not permitted on the golf course, golf facilities or upper level of the clubhouse

Women

  • Slacks, Bermuda-length golf shorts, capris, skirts/skorts and golf dresses are allowed
  • Leggings are allowed on the golf course when worn under a skirt, skort or golf dress
  • Sleeveless golf shirts must have collars and collarless golf shirts must have sleeves
  • Dress denim jeans in good condition are allowed in the non-golf course areas of the club
  • Denim is not allowed on the golf course or practice facilities between March and November
  • Hats may be worn in all areas of the club
  • Gym shorts, exercise shirts, tee shirts, sweatshirts or athletic pants are not permitted on the golf course, golf facilities or upper level of the clubhouse

Unacceptable Attire

The following are not allowed by either sex in any areas of the club.

  • Athletic-style tank tops or halter tops
  • ?Cropped tops, tubes tops, bra-style tops
  • Short shorts, cut-offs, cargo shorts, pants with multiple large exterior pockets, thong-style swimwear
  • Any clothing ripped, soiled, stained, frayed, or cut off in a manner not intended by the designer
  • Any clothing that is see-through or viewed as offensive
  • Any slacks or shorts worn below the waistline

 
Rules cannot be written to address every possible instance of inappropriate attire.  The Club management reserves the right to refuse privileges to anyone they determine to be in violation of the dress code.
