HOLE 1
A scenic risk/reward hole. A solid drive down the left side will challenge the water but sets up a shot at this well-protected green in two. The green runs severely from front to back, and any player bailing to the right side of the fairway will have to contend with the deep bunker front and right of this green. A front pin is difficult for players to access and protects par.

HOLE 2
An uphill dogleg right that favors a long hitter from the tee. The approach can vary from a long iron to a wedge depending on the player’s tee shot. One of the best green complexes on the course slopes away from the front left greenside bunker and down toward the lake on #1.

HOLE 3
This hole plays as the most difficult par three on the course. The tee shot is downhill and plays a club shorter to a shallow, well-protected green. The surface slopes severely from front to back and is marked by a false front and a deep bunker to the right.

HOLE 4
Another gorgeous risk reward hole. Players can use a long iron or fairway wood to avoid hazards both right and left. The second shot is blind and players should not be bold. Avoid the deep bunkers short and right of the green and a hazard long. A good, long iron second shot will leave just a short pitch to a green that slopes away from the player and is bisected front and back by a ridge.

HOLE 5
The tee shot on this hole requires an accurate long iron to avoid deep woods and hazards both right and left. The landing area is small, but a good drive will leave a pitch of between 80 to 100 yards to a small green fronted by a stream. A bunker protects the right side of this green while out of bounds lurks if the player is long with their approach.

HOLE 6
A stream that will devour a shot missing the green right marks this short par three. A player that bails out left of this narrow green will face a downhill pitch, running away toward the creek. Once on the putting surface, par is not guaranteed as the green is 40 yards deep and features three levels. As such, it’s considered one of the hardest short par 3’s in the area.

This hole requires a slight draw off the tee to leave a mid to short iron. The second shot is uphill to a green fronted on the left by two deep bunkers. The green slopes hard left to right and can be a challenging two putt from anywhere on the surface.

This tight, uphill hole features out-of-bounds left, trees right, and a two-tiered grass bunker that requires a 200 yard carry off the tee. A short second shot is still a challenge with a relatively small green complex featuring multiple levels. The back left pin is very difficult to access.

HOLE 9
A great finishing hole that will yield some birdies and causes some double and triple bogeys. It is an uphill par four with out-of-bounds left and very deep bunkers right. This hole plays longer than its yardage indicates. Keep left of the fairway bunkers from your tee shot. A small, elevated green with a dramatic false front awaits.

HOLE 10
A play with a long iron between the cross fairway bunkers leaves a short iron to a firm and well-bunkered target from a hanging lie. Or you can challenge the hole by driving 260 yards over the second cross-bunker. If you can avoid the hazard on the right, it will leave a short pitch and good chance at birdie.

HOLE 11
Another of Sunset Hills' challenging par fives. A relatively wide fairway invites the player to use the driver off the tee. Only the very longest drive will go for the green in two. To avoid a blind water hazard left and out-of-bounds right, the prudent play is a long iron to set up a short iron third shot. Once on the putting surface, the player will have to contend with a severe ridge that divides the green in half and provides some very difficult pin locations on the front section.

Many consider this long par three to be one of the most difficult par three's in the area. A long iron is required to a narrow green with water guarding the front and right. Players bailing out left will contend with out-of-bounds and a green that slopes severely left to right.

This is a true three-shot hole across two steep valleys. 3 wood is not a bad choice off the tee to ensure a level lie for your second shot. The third shot plays uphill to a large green with a spine running from front right to back left.

This downhill par three is deceptively difficult. The green is large but very subtle, and a ridge dissects it into thirds. Look for the pin placements on this hole to bring the deep bunkers left of the green into play

A long iron off the tee is the smart play. Trees and a bunker narrow the fairway in half. The uphill second shot will be played with a short iron. Beware of the false front on this sloping green.

The 17th sets up a difficult finish to Sunset Hills. There is out-of-bounds and a bunker left. The fairway narrows to 18 yards in driving area so accuracy is key. A good tee shot with a driver or 3 wood will set up a short to middle iron to a well-bunkered green.

This final hole plays slightly uphill and requires a drive favoring the right side of the fairway to avoid trees and long rough left. Your second shot with a long or middle iron will play slightly uphill. The green, one of the original greens from 1922, is difficult sloping from back right to front left.
